Serge Marshennikov is a Russian painter, born in 1971 in Ufa (Bashkiria, USSR).
His oil paintings on canvas depict girls in sensual poses, which never yield to vulgarity.
His works have been exhibited in important art galleries and are permanently on display in various private collections all over the world, in the El Paso Museum of Modern Art and in the Abilene Grace Museum, as well as being sold by the ‘most famous auction, like the Christie in London.
His distinctive feature is the particular composition of the pictorial image, which makes his subjects resemble the paintings of nineteenth-century Russian classical art.
The girls portrayed are obviously contemporaneous, but as if they were crystallized in a timeless limbo, revealing a virginal beauty and a dignity united to a visually very powerful sensual grace.
A journey into the eroticism suggested, more than explicit, combined with an amazing magical realism.
