Hansel… an austrian wardrobe from the early 1900s.
A small wardrobe closet with an austere cimasa on its top and inside it a unique hanging wooden wheel clothes. He arrived in my naked laboratory. A wood rich in history. My job is to dress him. Watching him carefully I decided to show even to exasperate his imperfections. The holes of the worms, the scratches of the wear and its veins so irregular. Among the many patine artigianali I chose the one that did not completely cover his personality, his experience. It often happens that way, when I find myself ‘with you’ with a historical piece even if not ancient, I always have a certain form of respect. I remind you that for antique furniture we mean a piece of furniture produced before 1900. Everything that is created afterwards is part of modernism, etc. etc. I chose to highlight its original grain by working with a #patina in # light makeup. I conferred the colors using natural pigments in shades of greens, blues and sand. I made several light steps in #stratification and I created chaps working with natural reagents combined with stucco and pigments. I have highlighted its irregularities with hot air, fat elements and special hand tools. Working in small sectors and paying close attention to the final result.
And here it is Hansel ready, for his friends ‘Hans’ .
