Course on faux marble, fake frames and grisaille decoration |
From 10.00 to 15.00 with a brief stop to enjoy a quick snack in the atelier to be recovered at the end of the lesson
Location of the course: Villa Cremisi atelier in Sala Baganza – PR
This course offers the opportunity to learn 3 fundamental techniques for wall decoration: the fake marble, the grisaille decoration (or gray scale) and the false frames.
The wall decoration techniques that you will learn are very wide use just think of the decoration of niches, plinths, stairs, walls and fireplaces, but also … furniture, frames and objects of all kinds. This course is aimed at those who want to learn or improve their skills in the field of decoration. The course is divided into the following program:
FRIDAY: FAUX MARBLE – WHITE OF CARRARA and / or PINK MARBLE
background preparation on wall support
theoretical part with reference to texts on the subject
study of the chromatology of fake marbles
execution of the fake marble with water and / or oil colors
protective coating based on natural waxes or natural resins
SATURDAY: GRISAILLE DECORATION
background preparation on wooden support
study of color chromatology
drawing up
transposition of the drawing with the technique of dusting and / or tracing
pictorial execution of the grisaille
SUNDAY: PAINTED FRAMES
learning the theoretical part on lights and shadows
pictorial execution of one or more false frames (toretto, cable, etc.)
final drafting
All materials will be provided by the atelier and the panels will be owned by the participant.
During the lunch break you can choose to have lunch in the atelier or go to a local restaurant for a quick snack.
On site will be given to the participant explanatory notes on the techniques and materials used and at the end of the course a certificate of participation will be issued.
No specific experience is required.
COST: € 480 for the entire 3-day course of 15 hours; for single course days 180 euros.
Ideal for staying La Cortaccia di Sala Baganza or Il Monte with a splendid view over the hills of Parma or in the Woods of Carrega at the B & B Il Richiamo del Bosco.
