Course on wall decoration: aged effects and metal oxidation

A course on aged effects on the wall and on wood that goes with that on the peeling and overlapping on the wall. Both are courses on the effects of materials but of different consistency and visual appearance. In this case it is an excellent integration of the laminated spatula processing. In this course we will exclude lime and work with a brush with a material of different composition. We will also work with paper to create layered thicknesses. With regard to oxidation on metal foils, we will prepare suitable substrates for bonding the foils. We will oxidise them with natural reagents of common use and therefore very economical. The reactions will be immediate and of excellent visual effect. All aged and material effects will be performed on walls and on wood. Horizontally and vertically as the reagents will be placed in a particular colorless and natural cold glue. The oxidations will then be blocked with natural resins that are easy to use. All this to allow you to create aged effects on furniture and walls. Simulate rust and burnishing in metal foils. The shells and the sedimented dust in the wall paint. Everything you create will be personalized according to your way of working. You will not use anything prepackaged and this is what will add value to your personal experience and your creativity. Furthermore, it will be possible to use the effects created as pictorial bases to create themed paintings or material paintings.

Saturday – Wall mats with aged wall effect, material glazing, gluing of paper and veiling of color. Final protective draft.

Sunday – Metallic patinas with oxidation to natural reagents. Preparation of the appropriate substrates, gluing of the laminates, preparation of natural reagents and cold glue. Processing on oxidation. Final protective drafting.

All materials will be provided by the atelier and the work carried out during the course will be owned by the participant.

Attendance certificate issued at the end of the course and explanatory dispensation of the techniques.
