Every time we ask ourselves the problem of giving the environment of our daily existence an appearance that is as harmonious and refined as possible – at the same time personal – we are faced with choices of particular commitment.
Recognition and matching of the styles of furniture and woods with which they were made.
This course was designed to meet this need.
A theoretical and practical course therefore within everyone’s reach. Strict in the setting and in the details. It will be shown how a style is first of all a matter of the environment and how all the elements and furnishing accessories – objects, chandeliers, wall and floor coverings – must make a perfect arrangement with the furniture. In this course, all that is necessary to know about Italian and foreign styles from the 16th century to the first decades of the 1930s (decorative arts) was grouped with method.
We will analyze and study together an in-depth theoretical part and we will create a practical part where the volumes and details of the various styles in different eras will be drawn in pencil lines. We will initially analyze the types of wood with a large table assembled with the various essences.
Then we will cover all the Italian, French and English styles, hinting at the medieval period and then moving on to deepen the styles from the Renaissance to the Decorative Arts. Explanatory handouts will be delivered with illustrations of the furniture and their details and with a detailed theoretical part.
At the end of the course you will have learned to recognize the era of furniture placing them exactly in their historical period.
Suitable for all those who for personal knowledge or for professional deepening wish to be guided in this study path.
All materials will be provided by the atelier and the work carried out during the course will be owned by the participant.
On site will be provided explanatory handouts on the subject, bibliography related to the topic and the certificate of participation.
Cost of the course 190 euros for 6 hours of course.
